  • What is the Flowerstand and when is it open?
The passion for this little community flowerstand was born out of a hybrid of dreams that cultivate a small town feel, a love of flowers and accessibility. We know that not everyone can afford the premium price point that is required to support professional florist services. So in addition to our professional studio services where we custom design for weddings, events and daily deliveries - we wanted to come up with a way to offer our beautiful speciality cut flowers to our local community members at economical prices. The flowerstand is self-serve and open when the farm has high production (most Thursdays and many Friday-Saturdays during the growing season March - October). Because all of our offerings through the stand are 100% grown on our farm and are grower's choice mixes with no customizing - it limits the overhead cost to us thus resulting in an economical price point for you! We dream of this little flowerstand becoming a staple in the community that folks look forward visiting at the end of a long week to pick up a wrapped bouquet for themselves or a friend!
  • Flowers in Jars
KEEP HYRATED: We highly encourage everyone to fill water to THE BRIM daily in order to ensure all the stems reach water. Not all of our stems reach the bottom as we criss cross stems when designing to give the bouquet some volume. The flowers were fortified with a flower food prior to pick up so moving forward clean fresh water is the best way to go! KEEP COOL: Fresh cut flowers do not love the sun the same way a living plant does! So while many people think placing the flowers in direct sun is important - that actually can deteriorate the flowers more quickly as the sun radiates heat. Keep your flowers away from heater vents, direct sun, kitchen appliances that radiate heat, etc! KEEP CLEAN: Changing the water daily is also a great way to preserve the life of flowers by limiting the amount of bacteria build up. Removing any stems that are fading also helps the remaining blooms last longer. OTHER: Other things that can make flowers deteriorate faster are cigarette smoke, pet dander and close proximately to fruit.
  • Wrapped Bouquets
Make sure to give your wrapped bouquets a fresh cut after pick up prior to placing in your vase of water. • Can I recycle my jars/vases?
Heck ya! We now have a basket/container in the flowerstand with a sign where you can return your vase if you don't need it!
  • Can I send someone else to pick up my pre-order?
Absolutely! The flowerstand is self-serve and your order has been paid for in advance. We will have your order labeled with your name on it waiting for pick up for whoever is available to do so on your behalf!
  • Will there be other items in the flowerstand?
More often than not, we will have additional flower bouquets/arrangements, farm fresh eggs and maybe some other seasonal offerings such as small plants for planting in your own garden or a locally made product of some kind. If you want any of the other items when you pick up - there is a way to pay inside the flowerstand with cash, check or our Venmo information will be listed inside to pay electronically! This is an honor system so we appreciate your honesty and integrity in advance. Additional items are available on a first come first serve basis.
  • Do you grow organically?
While we are not a certified organic farm, we do use organic + sustainable practices to manage our crops.
